Regular Waste Collection Policy

This policy contains important information surrounding your regular waste collections. Please take the time to read it carefully.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure the efficient and effective collection of waste in line with waste management regulations.

Scope

This policy applies to all clients who have a Collections Agreement in place with Fit For The Tip ( Commercial, Domestic or otherwise).

Policy

  1. Collection Schedule: Regular waste collections will occur on a Weekly | Fortnightly or Monthly basis. The specific time and day of collection will be determined by the Client and agreed by Fit For The Tip in writing. If the Client wishes to change collection schedule, changes must be confirmed in writing with a notice period of 7 days. Collection schedules are subject to availability.
  2. Waste: Sacks are to be provided by the client. Bins can be provided at a cost determined by Fit For The Tip. All general rubbish must be fully concealed within the sack where possible. –
  3. Type of Waste: General Waste must be stored within bins/contained areas to avoid contact with animals and rodents. Fit For For The Tip accept no responsibility to clear any exposed or spilled waste from the area, that has occurred through no fault of their own.
  4. Volume of Waste: To be agreed upon in writing prior to Collection Agreement. Any additional waste is subject to a fee determined by Fit For The Tip.
  5. Bin Placement: Clear access is required. Access Keys or Codes are required in advance of collections where required.
  6. Prohibited Items: Hazardous materials, electronics, large appliances, and construction debris are not accepted in regular waste collections. Special arrangements must be made for the disposal of these items.
  7. Non-Compliance: Failure to comply with this policy may result in suspension of waste collection services.

Review

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it continues to meet the needs of both Fit For The Tip and the Client, as well as waste management regulations.
